Empower School of Health Signs MoU with NHSRC to Enhance Capacity-Building for Healthcare Professionals Across India
Empower School of Health is excited to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC). This partnership is a significant step towards enhancing the capacity and capability of healthcare professionals across India. Under this MoU, both organizations will work together to support the development of learning aids for the capacity-building of health professionals, including but not limited to emergency care. This collaboration aligns with our mutual commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and ensuring better health outcomes for all.

Spotlight on Project: STEP India
The Strategic Training Executive Programme (STEP 2.0) India Workshop was successfully conducted between 29th July and 2nd August, 2024. The workshop commenced with an inaugural event and the launch of a community of practice for public health logisticians in India. The welcome address was given by George Bray, STEP India Co-facilitator and Vice- President, Programs & Initiatives, IFPW Foundation and Prof Paul Lalvani, Executive Director, Empower Group. There were panel discussions with Air Cmde (Dr) Ranjan Kumar Choudhury, VSM Advisor Healthcare Technology National Health Systems Resource Centre, including stakeholders from WCJF, BMGF, PATH, Jhpiego and private sector.
STEP 2.0 India workshop was deployed to participants from CMSS, NTEP, IPE Global and Plan India with private sector coaching support from JNJ, Pfizer and Merck. The Empower team, coaches and facilitators will be supporting participants as they return to their workplaces to implement their plans to address a specific supply chain challenge.

Empower School of Health Partners with EngenderHealth to Launch Digital Course on Gender Mainstreaming in Health and Nutrition Programming
Empower School of Health supported EngenderHealth digitalizing of a self-paced online courses on ‘Gender Mainstreaming in Health and Nutrition Programming’ , primarily aiming to increase the effectiveness of addressing micronutrient deficiencies and improving health outcomes, as gender relations at all levels (households, communities, and the broader food supply chain) are important drivers of nutrition outcomes. Four modules were developed in the English language aiming to enable a deeper understanding of gender concepts like sex, gender, patriarchy and gender inequalities, establish the link between gender and nutrition, develop an understanding of gender mainstreaming for inclusive programs and policies, apply tools like Do No Harm Framework, Risk Assessment Matrix, Gender Integration Continuum Tool, and be able to apply gender-sensitive design and implementation approaches in supply side interventions of food and nutrition programmes such as the Large Scale Food Fortification.
